Our modern and industrialized societies have gradually eroded the vital link that we, humans, have with our planet.
This link, however essential, connects us to this common home that is the Earth, a haven of beauty, diversity, and life. Faced with the current ecological emergency, it has become imperative to revive this connection, to relearn how to know and protect this rich and complex living environment.
Nature is not just a decorative setting, it is the very foundation of our existence, an inestimable treasure requiring our greatest attention.
Eudaimon-ECP's premises started from the quest for meaning and discovery of its co-founders Rodrigue Rabier Fuenzalida, Aymeric and Anna Dujardin and Louis Garnier, from their encounters through various experiences with other incredible humans also questioning our models of society, seeking to live better and willing to build together, along his non-linear journey.
Over the years, their emotional connection with nature has been strengthened through commitments to associations, volunteering, and travel. These very diverse experiences have opened up to the richness that comes from commitment to others and defending what seems right to them.
Eudaimon is an invitation to share this joyful and respectful learning path with all those who cross it. Together, we will rediscover the pleasure of coexisting harmoniously with our common home, while creating living spaces where nature is both protected and celebrated.
A magical key to happiness and living your best life!
"Eudaimōn" is a big word from ancient Greek philosophy that got lost into time. It's made of two Greek words: "Eu-" meaning good, and "daimon" meaning divine spirit or inner self. Initially, the term referred to a person blessed by the gods, considered prosperous and fortunate.
Eudaimonia is like a guide to being truly happy, not just having fun for a moment but feeling good about who you are and what you do. It's about being brave, wise, and kind, and doing things that make you and others around you happy in the long run.
Let's dive a bit deeper into the world of Eudaimonia with its 3 mains philosophers : Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.
Socrates believed that understanding ourselves and the world around us was the key to happiness. He thought Eudaimonia was about living a life of virtue and wisdom.
Plato was a student of Socrates and a teacher to Aristotle. He imagined a perfect world where everything was balanced. For Plato, Eudaimonia was about finding that balance in our lives and living in harmony with others.
Aristotle took these ideas and added his own twist. He believed that Eudaimonia was about finding the "Golden Mean" : the perfect middle way between too much and too little, just enough to feel satisfied.
The Greek concept resonates with wisdom traditions from all over the world and time :
These diverse philosophies and spiritualities, though rooted in different cultures and traditions, share a common thread of seeking harmony, balance, and deeper meaning in life.
They offer a rich tapestry of wisdom that continues to inspire and guide people across the globe.
Concidering of these philosophies common will and in the face of contemporary challenges, we decide to propose to make Eudaimon's philosophy evolves. Today, it stands as a symbol of fullfilment, seeking the best in humanity, urging us to live happily, with dignity, and in harmony with our planet.
It's a call to action, a plea to rise above our challenges and seek a sustainable future.
In essence : “Eudaimon means seeking the best that humankind can be and do to live happily, in dignity, and in symbiosis with our planet.”
Every individual, every soul on this planet, deserves to find their Eudaimon. It's a universal quest, a journey to find purpose, meaning, and true happiness.
